I’m a firm believer that part of the fun of getting outdoors is the fueling up before and after the event. The great outdoors is also nature’s larder, and many of the beautiful areas featured elsewhere on this website have some very fine restaurants and bars. I wanted to list a few of my favourites here.  

I’ve decided to open this up as a forum, in case any of you would like to add your suggestions, or comments on mine too. I’m not trying to challenge Tripadvisor - but I thought a small list of restaurants and bars in the most popular outdoor areas would be a nice additional to my site.
